FIX FOR GALAXY S2 SHUTDOWN ISSUES

I recently got my AT&T Galaxy SII (SGH-I777) and i was having issues putting the phone to sleep. It just wouldn't shut down.
I stumbled upon this by should i say heavenly intervention because i didn't do it accidentally. I don't know how but all i realized was i was doing it and i felt it would fix the issue.
Im also sure this should work on other S2 phones with similar problem.
Now lets gets to business. Its pretty simple even for toddlers to follow.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not responsible for anything that happens to your handset.
I am 90% sure there's no way your phone can get damaged through this

1. Shutdown and when screen goes off, remove battery.
2. Plug the wall charger and connect to the phone, without the battery inside
3. Now try powering the handset on. You should see the android buttons flashing as if the phone was trying to startup.
4. Do this for a few seconds. 5-8 secs.
5. Remove charger and put the battery back in and switch on.
6. After phone has boot up and is in home screen, power off again.
7. Note that this time the phone "VIBRATES" before going off.
8. Your phone should now be totally off and shouldnt start-up again.

Kindly leave a comment down there if it works for you.
UPDATE: my phone is now messing up again after i removed the battery.
I retried my method again and it worked. It seems to be more of a hardware flaw not a software. Well im not too sure but then at least im able to put the phone off.
