How to restore Grub 2 in 11 simple steps


You can restore your grub by following these simple steps.
1. Download the system rescue CD from their site download System Rescue CD
2. Burn iso image
3. Insert cd into drive and reboot pc
4 .Boot from cd( if your pc doesn't boot into the cd try changing the boot order from your BIOS setup or press F12[in most pcs] during start-up and select your disk drive.
5. Select Boot from an existing Linux......
6. Select any of the options depending on your pc architecture.
7. You should see your login screen. Enter your password if any to log in.
8. Open terminal and type: sudo grub-install /dev/sda
9. Hit enter, enter password if any and hit enter.
10.Type: sudo update-grub and hit enter.
11. Reboot without the system rescue cd and your grub should be waiting for you.
